India (9 Days)

Golden Triangle Tour : Delhi – Agra – Jaipur

Taj Mahal 02

This tour of India is the perfect introduction to this vast and beautiful country. The magical Golden Triangle tour, encapsulating three of its greatest cities: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur is one of India’s most fascinating and popular tourist circuits.

Discover India’s intoxicating vibrant cultural cocktail and its stupendous historical relics. Reflect on the grandeur of the Mughal Empire and marvel at India’s jewel studded palaces. Admire and endure in equal measure the thoroughly modern and sophisticated capital city of New Delhi and the chaotic but more historically appealing Old Delhi.

At Agra, see the stunning and romantic Taj Mahal, 7th Wonder of the World, an Unesco World Heritage site and deservedly the most visited tourist attraction in India. Rising from the largely desert state of Rajasthan is its dazzling and colourful capital, the “Pink City” of Jaipur, legacy of the mighty Rajputs and the Mughal Empire.

For this tour we will be staying in 5 Star Hotels throughout, with evening meals included.

Red Fort (Author -Pankajksharma92)

Magnificent Red Fort
Delhi’s most magnificent monument, the Red Fort, was built by Emperor Shah Jehan, in 1638 A.D. Enclosed in this glorious Fort is Diwan-i-am, the hall meant for public audiences; Diwan-i-Khas, where private audiences were granted; Rang Mahal, the water cooled apartment of the royal ladies; the Pearl Mosque, a lovely, ornate dream in white marble. The Prime Minister of India addresses the nation from this age old Fort, on the auspicious day of India’s Independance.

Humayun Tomb

Humayun Tomb
This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal.

Fatehpur Sikri 01

Fatehpur Sikri
The historical city was constructed by Mughal emperor Akbar beginning in 1570 and served as the empire’s capital from 1571 until 1585. Though the court took 15 years to build, it was abandoned after only 14 years because the water supply was unable to sustain the growing population. The surviving palace and mosque are a tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The site itself is a ghost town.

Taj Mahal 01

Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is sheer poetry in marble, majesty and magnificence, unrivalled. It took 22 years in the making. An estimated 20,000 people worked to complete the enchanting mausoleum, on the banks of the Yamuna.
